30 years of innovation, reliability and passion in the service of agriculture

The beginnings – a revolution that started in a workshop (1994–2004)
The story of Weider Landtechnik began in 1994 in a small but ambitious workshop near the Austrian-Hungarian border. The founder, Johann Weider, a passionate agricultural engineer, was looking for a solution to the problems of his own farm when he built the first hand-held weeding device that would solve the problem of weeding in rows faster. Soon other farmers became interested, and the first small series was born: the Weider Original.

Development and international breakthrough (2005–2014)
The company grew rapidly in the first decade and stood out from its regional competitors in particular for its innovations. The system, introduced in 2008, was already front- and rear-mounted, with a modular design, which took precision weeding to a new level. This is where the first export relationships to France and Germany began, and later to the entire EU.

Strategic alliances and portfolio expansion (2015–2020)
Weider has given new impetus to its innovation drive by partnering with a market leader in corn and sunflower headers. Through technological collaboration, the two companies have combined their expertise in weed control and harvesting systems, offering growers an even more efficient and integrated solution.

The joint success has encouraged Weider to expand its offering with additional premium companies. The products of these manufacturers have been gradually integrated into their own systems, ensuring compatibility and uniform control between devices. Weider is thus playing a key role not only in weed control systems, but also in complete agricultural workflows.

The era of precision revolution and digitalization (2020–2024)
The Vision One and Vision Plus control systems and the automated Multivision row guidance solutions opened a new chapter in the company's history. Using artificial intelligence and sensor technology, Weider machines are now able to recognize crop rows independently and work with outstanding speed and precision.

Weider today – global presence, sustainability and vision
Today, Weider Landtechnik is present in more than 10 countries and its farm solutions are used worldwide. The company has become not only a manufacturer, but also a system provider: it serves a wide range of production needs with a comprehensive portfolio of communicating devices.
